They aren’t for everyone but this is our most accessibly priced chest binder, and we are trying to keep the cost as low as possible, so these are more modular, but there are some ways to customize them:
Straps: If you would like straps added to your binder please check out from our “Add 1 inch Adjustable Straps” listing here.
Silicone Band: We now have an option to add a silicone band painted on the top side of the binder, by my awesome housemate Vulpinic Vestements , check out that listing here
Check out the sweet measurements guide in the last photo, created by Katherine Grace Eremia and featuring Alex Chen and C'est Kevvie.
Care Directions:
For Spandex and/or Powernet garments: Hand wash or cold water wash, hang dry. For best results put in a mesh lingerie bag inside out when washing.
Metallic or Holographic Spandex and Sheer Stretch Mesh: Hand wash ONLY and hang dry.
Spandex and Powernet items can be used for everyday binding/compression purposes and can be used as Swimwear.
Items with Metallic or Holographic Spandex and Faux Leather should be thought of more as fancy lingerie items, not to be used every day and not to be used as Swimwear.
Timeline/production:
This item is custom made to your specific measurements and fabric selections.
All custom orders take 4-6 weeks to make (starting from the time that we receive your measurements), and then we mail it to you using the United Stated Postal Service.
USPS’s mailing times vary greatly, and businesses do not have any control over the post office. Please remember to double check your address!
We currently have 2 very part time sewists who work on orders (on average less than 10 hours each week).
You will get an automatic email from this website and from either stamps.com or pirate ship with your tracking number when your order ships. We do not send “update emails”during the month, we are not working on your order the entire time, you are in a queue and we work on your order when it is next in the queue and then we ship it out! Please check your spam folder for these emails.
We still work on orders in our queue even when the ability to buy custom clothing orders are closed (when we close custom orders it is usually because our queue is long, so we need to catch up).
Because of Sky gaining post-viral ME/CFS at the end on 2019, Sky is now almost entirely focused on teaching youth how to create their own intersectional fashion collections and fundraising for Palestinian and Sudanese families because it is what is more accessible to xyr bodymind. Sky pretty much can no longer physically do production.
Notes on contacting us:
If you are emailing about an order, please put your order number in the subject line if possible.
We are very slow at emails. Emails currently make brain fog and can trigger seizures for Sky, but for the most part they are the main person checking emails at this time due to lack of resources.
You have a much better chance of getting answers to small questions by DM on Instagram @rebirthgarments . I know this is not accessible to everyone, it is just honestly what I am better with our limited resources and spoons.
I know none of this is “ideal”, but we are an extremely small business run by disabled/ neurodivergent queers and this business makes negative money, so we do what we can.
