I have been in direct contact with Nara since April 10, 2024. We have become fast friends due to so many overlapping symptoms of our disabilities. Nara’s story caught my eye because I have post-viral ME/CFS which many times is a precursor to MS. Nara is a 33 year old disabled mom of two super cute kiddos who are 7 and 12 year old. She and her husband and kids have gotten enough money for their evacuation, passports and some of her medical treatment, but they need money for their survival in the meantime while the Rafah border is closed. They need to leave Rafah to go somewhere else in Gaza until the border reopens, so they will be using some of their current donation money for those necessities, and we will recoup the costs with this fundraiser auction and party!

Queer Radical Fair- Thursday July 25, 2024 from 5-8pm CDT

at Ping Tom Memorial Park and live streamed

Join us for a summer celebration of queerness, fashion, self-expression and community!

Queer Radical Fair is a now annual celebration of Chicago Public Library's Radical Fit program, a fashion initiative that empowers teens to create personal expressions of style while exploring gender identity and equity. The fair will feature a fashion show, live music, a photo-booth, library resources and more! Food and refreshments will be provided while supplies last.

Wheelchair accessible porta-potties will be available. ASL interpreters , CART and free KN95 masks will be provided.

Masks are strongly encouraged (If it wasn’t a public park it would be masks required, so please wear a mask)

The Queer Radical Fair is brought to you by Chicago Public Library’s YOUmedia program Radical Fit and Sky Cubacub of Rebirth Garments.

Other ways to support us!

-Order from @radicallychill.me , our CBD line (we have delta 8 as well!), this helps subsidize the pricing of our garments.
-Buy from our Teespring merch shop, we actually get a bit of a profit from these orders, unlike our Rebirth Garments orders which largely are making less money than the labor and materials cost.
-Book me for Virtual speaking engagements and workshops, (and pay for them in a timely manner).
-you can also directly donate to us at @Sky-Cubacub on Venmo, $SkyCubacub on Cashapp, and rebirth.garments@gmail.com on Paypall.

ongoing updates:

I (Sky), got the diagnosis of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome April 2021 (after having Mono since December 2019), and I am dealing with a lot of other mysterious health problems that I have not been able to figure out how to balance with my work. I also am having memory problems/ Brain fog because of it. Basically I am asleep 13-20 hours a day, and in bed the rest of the time when I am not at the doctors. My employees are working on current orders. make sure to include your correct measurements with your order.

Part of being a radical individual means working to understand the impact of our actions while we build a world where care replaces harm. Remember again that I am a human being, neurodivergent, and my company is much smaller than it appears. I appreciate your patience and support. Please donate to your local bail fund!

You can also order from our Teespring store to get some of our drawings and designs printed on demand onto various clothing and accessories! This is more eco-friendly than getting tons of our merch preprinted, but it is also not custom made clothing and of course no place that makes standardized sizes will ever live up to our standards of inclusive sizing, but this will help tide us over a bit while we are in transition, and we get basically half of what you pay, so it is one of the best options out there for actually supporting the artists.

Check out our Instagram @rebirthgarments for more up to date updates!

These are our recommendations for custom made to your measurements, gender affirming, disability friendly clothing lines you can support if I am sold out of anything in particular, just FYI everyone listed here except Aqua Underwear is white-
